The Finnish Medical Convention 2011

The Finnish Medical Convention is the topmost medical event in Finland. Its purpose is to offer all doctors an opportunity to communicate and collaborate professionally with a wide range of colleagues.

The Finnish Medical Convention offers versatile, up-to-date and high quality education to doctors, both specialists and general practitioners, working in various fields and positions in health centres, hospitals, private practice and other sectors. The Convention is also a national meeting place of doctors, pharmaceutical industry and other health care decision-makers.

The Convention is organised by the Finnish Medical Association in cooperation with the Finnish Medical Society Duodecim and the Swedish-speaking medical society Finska Läkaresällskapet. The course programmes are planned by numerous specialist societies and other organisations. The exhibition for health care professionals is organised by the Finnish Fair Corporation

The opening ceremony is held on Monday, 10 January, 2011 at 17.00 (5:00 p.m.) at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The working language at the convention will be Finnish, and is its coverage on the Internet. Almost every programme at the convention will be conducted in Finnish.
